In 1995 he met Peter Gabriel, who immediately identified Gerrie as someone who could wring unforeseen magic out of the straightforward assignment of transferring author and illustrator Nick Bantock's best-selling Griffin & Sabine trilogy to CD-ROM, without losing sight of deadlines or budgetary constraints.

Drawing on his aesthetic instincts, knowledge of art and wide circle of creative contacts, Gerrie assembled a trans-Atlantic team of 147 designers, artists, programmers and film stars - including Ben Kingsley, Isabella Rosselini and Paul McGann - guiding them on a three-year adventure that resulted in what many industry insiders still regard as the most beautiful and accomplished interactive CD-ROM yet produced: Ceremony of Innocence
