In the process of steering this epic production, Gerrie was forced to invent entirely new work methods and complex production strategies - the phenomenal detail of Ceremony's 850-page creative production bible beggars belief! - but his obsession with quality and fantasy paid off. By the time it was all over, Gerrie Villon's name had become synonymous with perfectionism within the business, and the release of Ceremony of Innocence was greeted with a shower of 13 international awards, including two British Academy Awards (Bafta) and the Best Of Show awards at Europrix Multimedia Art '98 and the Invision Awards '98 (San Francisco). |
